Teen Killed On Railroad Tracks ID'd By Riverside County Coroner
The 19-year-old man was hit Monday by a Metrolink train that was heading to Perris.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A young man hit by a Metrolink train Monday morning near downtown Riverside has been identified by the coroner's bureau.
Zevin Black, 19, of Riverside was struck just before 9 a.m. on the tracks, approximately 850 feet south of Cridge Street and Commerce Avenue, according to the coroner. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Metrolink authorities, a train heading south to Perris — train 702 — hit Black. There was no word on why he was on the tracks.

"91/PV and IEOC Line Alert: Tracks are closed between Riverside-La Sierra and Riverside-Downtown due to an incident involving train 702. Delays are unknown, updates to follow," according to a tweet shortly before 9:30 a.m. from the official Twitter account for Metrolink91/PV in Southern California.
In addition to train 702, other trains were delayed and/or canceled due to the incident. Metrolink offered transportation vouchers to passengers who were impacted.
