Vehicle Burglar Snared By Lake Mathews Deputies: Sheriff's Dept.

LAKE MATHEWS, CA — A suspect was behind bars Sunday after allegedly breaking into numerous cars in the Lake Hills area, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced.

Deputies from the sheriff's Lake Mathews station responded to Lake Hills on Dec. 10 after a series of vehicle burglaries during which cars were broken into and various items were stolen.

The suspect was identified as 67-year-old Michael Salvati, according to the sheriff's department.

Salvati was located and arrested Friday, and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of multiple thefts.
