Violent Brawl In Corona Leaves 1 Dead, Others Injured

Police said one person was detained in connection to the fight and stabbing.

CORONA, CA — One person was killed Monday afternoon when a fight led to a stabbing in Corona. Officers responded at 4:54 p.m. to a report of a fight in the 1300 block of Turquoise Drive, according to the Corona Police Department.

While en route, officers were informed there was a stabbing in progress at the location and when they arrived they found a dead male victim in the street and an unspecified number of other people critically injured, police said.

The injured victims were taken to a hospital. Their status was not immediately available.

"Officers detained an unidentified male at the scene," according to a police statement that indicated there was no threat to public safety.
