1 Injured, Traffic Stalled In 5-Car Crash On 5 Freeway In Lake Forest

Traffic on the Interstate 5 freeway traveling north was backed up for miles Friday afternoon after a five car crash left one injured.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Residents traveling up the Interstate 5 freeway Friday afternoon found themselves stuck in traffic from Mission Viejo to Lake Forest after a five-car crash on the freeway, authorities said.

At least one person was injured in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at 11:32 a.m. on the freeway near El Toro Road in Lake Forest, and at one point blocked all lanes of the freeway, authorities said.

Authorities advised residents to steer clear of the area while they investigate the scene.
