1 Person Dead After Car Crashes In Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, CA — The passenger of an SUV traveling in Lake Forest died Thursday morning after the car crashed into a semi-truck parked on the street.

The crash happened near Lake Forest Drive and Regency Lane around 5:15 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff's Department said. The passenger died at the scene of the crash, and the SUV's driver was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Information on the passenger or their identity was not immediately available from the sheriff's department.

It's unknown what caused the crash. Lake Forest Drive between Regency Lane and Vista Terrace was closed for several hours while the sheriff's department investigated the area, OCSD officials said.
