2022 California Primary: How To Vote, What To Know In Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, CA — Voters in Lake Forest should start seeing their vote-by-mail ballots in their mailboxes this week.

Ballots were sent to all registered voters earlier this month for the June 2022 Primary Election, the Orange County Registrar of Voters said.

Ballots can be tracked every step of the way online through BallotTrax. The free service sends notifications through text message, email or phone on a ballot's status.

Voters can return their ballot in several ways:

• By mail with no postage required.
• Use one of 400 Ballot Drop Box locations across Orange County.
• Drop off at any Vote Center beginning May 28.

Voters should review their ballot instructions carefully before signing and dating the return envelope.

Ballot drop boxes are available 24/7, and a full list of locations is on the Registrar of Voters website.
