5 Freeway Closure Saturday For Bridge Demolition Work: What To Know
Orange County residents can expect overnight 5 Freeway and street closures during the demolition process, according to Caltrans.
LAKE FOREST, CA — Orange County residents can expect full a 5 Freeway closure Saturday night as Caltrans works to demolish the Los Alisos Bridge in Lake Forest.
The demolition work requires a full closure of the freeway traveling in both directions from Alicia Parkway to El Toro Road from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Commuters can expect lane reductions as early as 8 p.m. Saturday, Caltrans said.

A full closure of Los Alisos Boulevard from Rockfield Boulevard to Ave. de la Carlota will begin as early as 9 p.m.
Northbound 5 Freeway motorists will be detoured off the freeway at La Paz Road and Alicia Parkway off-ramps, Caltrans said.

Southbound 5 Freeway motorists will be detoured off the freeway at El Toro Road.
Motorists were asked to follow detour signage and drive safely through the construction.
