5 Freeway Closure For Bridge Demolition Scheduled In Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, CA — Orange County residents can expect freeway and street closures near Los Alisos Boulevard on Saturday, May 20, Caltrans announced Thursday.

The closures will allow Caltrans crews to demolish the bridge on Los Alisos Boulevard as a part of the Interstate 5 Improvements project.

The demolition work requires an overnight full freeway closure of both northbound and southbound 5 Freeway lanes between Alicia Parkway and El Toro Road. A stretch of Los Alisos Boulevard will also be closed throughout the demolition and reconstruction.

The closures are tentatively scheduled from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m., Caltrans said.

Motorists were asked to follow detour signage and avoid the area.
