Fullerton police officers say a driver sped through a red light before crashing into a retaining wall.

FULLERTON, CA -- A man was killed early Sunday after speeding through a red-light intersection before crashing into a retaining wall in Fullerton, police said. The crash happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Euclid Street and Rosecrans Avenue.
An initial investigation shows the driver in a 1994 Buick Regal was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans at 50 miles-per-hour. He did not make an attempt to slow down or stop at the intersection before crashing head-on into a retaining wall, police said.
The driver, who appears to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His identification has not yet been released.
