Arson Suspected In Lake Forest Brush Blaze; 1 Arrested
Crews worked to extinguish a fire in a creek bed in Lake Forest on Sunday. Authorities believe it was intentionally set.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Firefighters worked to quell a smoldering brush fire in Lake Forest on Sunday morning. A person one detained in what authorities are calling an intentionally set vegetation fire, officials said.
Crews worked in the area of Brookhollow and Sunlight Creek in a creek bed to access the fire around 11 a.m., the Orange County Fire Authority tweeted. Forward progress of the fire was stopped just before noon, fire officials said.
One person was detained in connection with the fire, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Thanh Nguyen said. No further information about the suspect was immediately available.
