Ladder In Lanes Slows Northbound 5 At Jamboree
Drivers on the northbound I-5 through south Orange County were forced to avoid multiple objects in lanes.

IRVINE, CA —Multiple objects fell from the back of a northbound vehicle in south Orange County, causing traffic chaos Wednesday morning.
At 11 a.m., drivers reported a ladder in the middle lanes of the Northbound I-5 freeway at Jamboree Road in Irvine, California Highway Patrol said.
One vehicle struck a wooden ladder that then came apart into multiple pieces. That driver pulled over with damage to the car, CHP said.

A brief closure allowed CalTrans to clear the roadway of the debris. The incident was cleaned up with minimal damage by noon, and traffic resumed through the area, CHP reported.
