The closure may impact motorists going through Rancho Santa Margarita, Trabuco Canyon, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and Irvine.

IRVINE, CA — Motorists using the State Route 241 toll road may have to find an alternate route as a road will close nightly for construction work beginning Thursday.
Traffic cones meant to help guide the flow of cars will be installed on the road, starting from the Windy Ridge Mainline Toll Point to State Route 91.
The entire 241 toll road goes through the cities of Rancho Santa Margarita, Trabuco Canyon, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and Irvine.

Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), the organization that oversees tolls in the area, said the cones will help "improve traffic flow and promote good driving habits by preventing queue-jumpers."
Construction work on the toll road will last at least five nights to install about 800 of the specialized traffic cones, the organization said.
