Loosely based on the Dark Horse Comics graphic novel "Hellboy: Seed of Destruction," written by Mike Mignola, Guillermo del Toro brought his dark fantasy to the silver screen in a tale about a demonic beast-turned-superhero, known as Hellboy, who works to keep the world safe from paranormal threats. Hellboy, played by Ron Perlman, is not alone in his endeavors, working alongside the members of his team, the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense.

The film maintains an 81 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and generated a worldwide box office total of $99.4 million against a budget of $66 million. A sequel, "Hellboy II: The Golden Army," was released in July of 2008.

Coneheads (1993)

Saturday, March 11 - IFC - 1:15 p.m.

The inspiration behind "Coneheads" lies in the '90s-era NBC "Saturday Night Live" comedy sketches about aliens stranded on Earth, Anglicizing their Remulakian surname to “Conehead.” Produced by SNL creator himself, Lorne Michaels, and directed by Steve Barron (1990’s "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and a-ha’s music video for “Take on Me”), "Coneheads" stars Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin and Michelle Burke.

Beldar Clorhone (Ackroyd) — sent to conquer the planet as a refueling station for his home world (Remulak) —and his life-mate, Prymaat (Curtin), find themselves alone on Earth after their spaceship crashes but quickly adapt to humans’ way of life.

Ghost World (2001)

Sunday, March 12 - Cinemax- 10:55 a.m.

Comic book pundits can attest: Terry Zwigoff’s adaptation of Daniel Clowes’ eponymous text does its source material justice in a true-to-origin presentation of the lives of Enid and Rebeca, respectively played by Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson, who are two teenage outsiders living in a nameless American city.

The best friends find themselves at the end of their senior year of high school, and upon finding a personal ad from a lonely, middle-aged man named Seymour (Steve Buscemi), the girls’ lives are pulled in contrasting directions. Employing cinematography similar to that of West Anderson, "Ghost World" touches upon the bewildering line between childhood and adulthood.

Loving (2016)

Cox Communications On Demand

Loving tells the story of Mildred and Richard Loving (respectively played by Ruth Negga and Joel Egerton), plaintiffs in the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court decision of Loving v. Virgina, which invalidated state laws prohibiting interracial marriage. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actor (Edgerton) as well as other Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for Negga. Described as an apolitical film, Loving follows varying emotional arcs about the human condition, chiefly love and family relationships.

Jackie (2017)

Cox Communications On Demand

Pablo Larraín’s biographical drama follows Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy and the then-first lady’s life after the assassination of her husband, President John F. Kennedy, in 1963. The film stars Peter Sarsgaard, Billy Crudup, Greta Gerwig and John Hurt in what was Hurt’s final film released before his death in January. "Jackie" is partly based on writer Theodore H. White’s Life magazine interview with Kennedy that same year.

The film’s script was originally conceived as a miniseries for HBO, intended to cover the four days between the JFK assassination and the president’s burial, with Steven Spielberg originally set to produce. He later abandoned the project.

"Jackie" has grossed $13.8 million in the United States and Canada since its March 1 release, with a current, worldwide total of $22.4 million.
