Stop crime? Easy, scrap the constitution

Imagine yelling for help from a third story window of a burning building and a fireman on the ground outside responds by throwing up a loaded gun so you can avoid perishing in the fire by instead shooting yourself to death first. The fireman's method and approach to "rescuing" you is to kill you faster, and he does so while openly mascarading as a guy who's main job is to rescue folks and fight fires so therefore his intentions are pure and he's an authority on performing such rescues.

I submit that any such fireman would be the wrong guy to look to if you are in need of rescue. I would further submit that any such fireman does not care about your well being.

An editorial published on Sept. 19 calling for CA. To lead the way in rewriting the 2nd Ammendment to the US Constitution is nothing but a disingenuous man and his group, Cal Matters, mascarading as well meaning, caring human beings who are front line professionals in the business of firearm related crime , and their solution is tantamount to saving us all by killing us .

Ostensibly, it is the main author's expertise as a former military man and as an active surgeon that warrants our attention and demands serious consideration of his ideas.

John Maa, as he is called, also clarifies his real motivation , that of genuine concern for his fellow Americans, when he declares, I paraphrase, " I cannot reconcile the senseless injuries I see with what is interpreted as a constitutional right "to maintain a militia" as laid out in the second ammendment".

So Mr Maa says that there is an urgent situation, a problem that threatens all of us in American society and we all need to do something about it fast .

He even has the solution.

According to him the problem in our society is guns . Oh he will probably say something like " I think that the problem is violence, and guns can fall into the hands of people who are violent , which puts all of us and our children at risk. In other words we should stop murderers by keeping guns from all law-abiding citizens.

But that's not the worst of their "solutions".

Mr Maa wants to achieve this by calling a Constitutional Convention, also known as an article five convention. This is where we zoom in on these people and their intentions.

Again, Imagine that you were to approach a surgeon, say..our guy John Maa. Now, imagine that you are not a medical professional yet you have given it some thought and you are sure that you have a much better protocol for performing open heart surgery, but you offer no details whatsoever.

Should you be taken seriously? Should the entire medical field entertain a proposal to change the way they perform heart surgeries when said proposal fails to actually include specific details? Of course not! Yet Mr Maa

thinks that we should entertain his idea to rewrite the second Ammendment to the US Constitution yet he offers no specific detail as to what it should actually be rewritten to.Hard to imagine someone who works in such a serious business could be so nonchalant about changing the Constitution by accident.

Next, he wants a Constitutional Convention , which is far more dangerous than his other idea.

Despite what supporters of this idea often say there is no parameters on the changes that the delegates can make once the convention is convened. Mr Maa understands this and he reveals his true intentions when he says that we need the article five in order to change the second ammendment but then he starts talking about addressing other problems in society while we're at it. That is because he knows that with a constitutional convention the entire Constitution can be rewritten or even discarded all together.

That is the true goal of Mr Maa and Cal Matters, to destroy the United States Constitution and the free market system that comes with it. Perhaps Mr Maa should work at a hospital in El Salvador or North Africa. Maybe that's what he wants for America. People like Mr Maa think that they are so smart and that everyone else is stupid.

Elitists like Maa truly believe that they know better than most of the rest of us and that they are better, period. He does not care about victims of gun violence. If he did he wouldn't want to solve gun crimes by targeting lawful gun ownership.

He probably wants to solve hunger by targeting the supply of food to everyone who isn't going hungry.

There is a reason why people like Mr Maa will throw out an idea and then quickly go into the tragic nature of a problem but never provide specific details regarding the 'solution'..

They know that if they were to reveal their true intentions, to discard the Constitution and destroy our Constitutional Republic( the USA is not and never has been a Democracy), that every rational, educated , American would discard these elitist attempts to bring tyrrany to the shores of America.

Cal Matters and John Maa are not concerned with you or your children. Rather they feel that they are rightfully entitled to rule over us peasants and that is exactly what these proposals are designed to bring about.
