Taco Bell Temporarily Pulls The Mexican Pizza From Its Menu
Taco Bell said the demand for its Mexican Pizza far surpassed the supplies the Irvine-based company had on hand for the menu item.

IRVINE, CA — Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza proved more popular than the Irvine-based restaurant expected as restaurants have run out of ingredients to make the menu item.
The Mexican fast-food chain is temporarily removing the item from its menus less than two weeks after it brought it back for its ravenous fans, Taco Bell announced Tuesday. The demand for Mexican Pizza was seven times larger than expected.
"We are working as fast as we can to restock Mexican Pizza ingredients," the company posted on social media. "We'll need some time to replenish our supplies, but when it comes back, we promise it's here to stay."

A specific date wasn't given for its return, but a Taco Bell spokesperson told CNN the company expects it will remain on the menu without further disruption by this fall.
The Mexican Pizza features ground beef and beans in a pizza sauce sandwiched between two crunchy tortillas and topped with melted cheese and diced tomatoes.
