La Mesa Free Turkey Giveaway: What To Know About Saturday's Event

On Saturday, Assemblymember Akilah Weber, M.D. is once again giving away free turkeys, one per household, while supplies last.

LA MESA, CA — Thanksgiving is around the corner, and there is a free turkey giveaway planned for Saturday, thanks to Dr. Akilah Weber, California State Assemblymember representing the La Mesa area.

The free turkey giveaway and health fair is being held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the La Mesa Civic Center, located at 8130 Allison Avenue.

According to organizers, the event is first come, first served, with one turkey per household. Though you can register in advance, registering does not guarantee a free turkey, they said.
