Earthquake Rattles East Bay Sunday Morning: USGS

LAFAYETTE, CA — A 3.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the East Bay on Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake occurred around 7:30 a.m., a little over 4 miles north-northwest of Lafayette, according to the survey. People reported feeling the quake across the area, in Rodeo, Berkeley, Port Costa, Crockett, Benicia, Oakland, El Sobrante, Richmond and Walnut Creek.

It was followed by a series of aftershocks, which ranged in magnitude from 2.4-1.5, the last of which occurred shortly before 7:45 a.m.
