Fire District Conducts Prescribed Burn In Sleepy Hollow
Some smoke may be visible to residents in surrounding neighborhoods, the Moraga-Orinda Fire District said.

LAMORINDA, CA — The Moraga-Orinda Fire District was planning to conduct a prescribed burn Friday and warned residents it may send smoke their way.
If conditions remained favorable, firefighters were expected to start burning the last 12 piles of cut material around 9 a.m. at the end of Dalewood Drive in the Sleepy Hollow area of Orinda.
"Some smoke may be visible to residents in surrounding neighborhoods," MOFD said in a Facebook post. "Residents are advised to close exterior doors and windows to keep smoke from entering their homes."

MOFD coordinated the project with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to ensure the burn was conducted safely and with minimal smoke impacts.
If burning conditions became unfavorable the project would be rescheduled, MOFD said.
