See Smoke? Prescribed Burn Scheduled In Lamorinda
Smoke may be visible to motorists on Highway 24 during the pile burn — expected to last three days if conditions remain favorable.

ORINDA, CA — A three-day prescribed burn was expected to be underway Tuesday morning along Highway 24 in the Wilder Road area of Orinda, the Moraga-Orinda Fire District said.
For three days starting Tuesday, fire operations were scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Should conditions remain favorable, firefighters will burn piled material in the Tunnel-East Bay Hills Shaded Fuel Break.
The fire district said some smoke may be visible to residents in the Wilder neighborhood and to passing motorists on Highway 24. Residents are advised to close exterior doors and windows to keep smoke from entering their homes.
