Third Suspect In Orinda​ Armed Robbery Arrested In Texas​

The three are believed to be suspects in other East Bay crimes, according to police.

ORINDA, CA — A third suspect in the armed robbery of an Orinda man last month was arrested this week in Texas, authorities said Friday.

Demaria Leanthony Adger, 25, of Oakland, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Plano, Texas, according to Contra Costa County Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee.

The robbery occurred about 2 p.m. July 25 while a resident of Fallen Leaf Terrace was unloading his vehicle in his driveway.

The three suspects fled with the man's personal property, according to police.

Two suspects, 23-year-old Shane Downs and 25-year-old John Downs, both of Oakland, were arrested last month by Piedmont and Berkeley police.

Adger remains in custody in Collin County, Texas while awaiting extradition to Contra Costa County, Lee said.

The three are believed to be suspects in other East Bay crimes, according to police.
