Watch: Con Fire Rescues Horse From Steep, Muddy Slope
Magic Ben, the horse, found himself stuck in the mud. Fortunately, Contra Costa County firefighters came to his aid.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Firefighters are known for their prowess at rescuing cats, especially those stuck in trees.
Rest assured: if your horse needs to be rescued, Con Fire can take care of that, too — even if it takes several hours.
At 11:11 a.m. Monday, Con Fire crews responded to 4069 Lambert Road in El Sobrante, where a horse named Magic Ben found himself stuck in the mud on a steep slope, the agency said on social media.

It took nearly four hours but firefighters did not give up. After removing mud and branches, they pulled the horse out and reunited him with his owner.
