12-Year-Old Among 3 Livermore Juveniles Arrested For 49 Car Burglaries: Livermore Police

Livermore police said a group ages 12-15 smashed dozens of car windows in downtown Livermore and stole items inside.

LIVERMORE, CA — Three Livermore juveniles aged 12 to 15 were arrested in connection with 49 car burglaries and vandalism that took place in downtown Livermore from May 5 to June 3, according to the Livermore Police Department.

The group smashed the front windows of cars parked overnight downtown and in the surrounding streets so that they could steal miscellaneous items like USB drives, battery packs, sunglasses, and wallets, police said. Through investigative leads and surveillance footage, police identified several juvenile suspects. Officers obtained search warrants for their homes, where they were able to recover some of the stolen property.

On June 10, a 12-year-old boy, 14-year-old girl, and 15-year-old boy, all from Livermore, were arrested, police said. However, Juvenile Hall would not accept the suspects because the offenses were non-violent. All three were cited and released to their parents.
