37-Year-Old Livermore Woman Dies In Motorcycle Accident
A woman lost control of her motorcycle while turning onto Isabel Avenue, striking a car and a concrete barrier, police said.
LIVERMORE, CA — A 37-year-old Livermore woman died in a motorcycle accident Monday, according to the Livermore Police Department and the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau.
On Monday at around 4 a.m., a 37-year-old motorcyclist identified by the Coroner's Bureau as Darin Chan was stopped at a traffic light on westbound Airway Boulevard, according to a report from the Livermore Police Department. She was preparing to turn right onto northbound Isabel Avenue, but lost control of the motorcycle as she began to turn. She traveled across Isabel Avenue and struck a car slowing for a red light while preparing to turn left.
The motorcycle then collided with a concrete barrier. Chan was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old from Modesto, was the sole occupant of the car. He called 911 and has been cooperating with investigators, police said.
One southbound lane of Isabel Avenue near I-580 was closed for approximately four hours for the investigation and roadway cleanup.
