ComicCon Livermore Returning Saturday To The Bankhead

Comic fans can enjoy meeting artists of all genres, a costume contest, celebrity guest appearances, a film screening, and more.

LIVERMORE, CA — Forget San Diego - ComicCon is back in Livermore. The free comic convention is returning Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bankhead Theater.

The annual Livermore Valley Arts event will showcase comic artists of all genres, including graphic novels, manga, crime/noir, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, slice of life, adventure, humor, and romance.

ComicCon will also feature a cosplay contest, anime and toy vendors, a costume contest, face painting, a photo booth, comics, tournaments, interactive comic art, a 3D printing demo, and more.

There will also be guest appearances from John Morris, who voiced Andy in the "Toy Story" franchise, and Seth Singleton, the lead writer of the comic strip "Greedy Greg," according to Pleasanton Weekly. At the end of the convention, guests can pay $10 for a screening of the 1999 sci-fi parody movie "Galaxy Quest" at 4:30.
