LIVERMORE, CA — The Alameda County County Sheriff's Office Coroner Bureau has identified the victim of a car crash last week on an Interstate 580 offramp in Livermore.

James Carter, 54, of Brighton, Colorado was ejected from his car Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. No other cars were involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.

There were no witnesses, but CHP believes he took a turn on the Isabel Avenue offramp too fast when his car veered off the road, went through a chain-link fence and crashed into a tree. He did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt.
