Deacon Dave's To Feature On ABC's 'Great Christmas Light Fight'
The beloved Livermore holiday display, which is now open for the season, will compete with other displays for a $50,000 prize.

LIVERMORE, CA — The doves are back in town. Deacon Dave’s Light Display, also known as “Casa del Pomba” (House of the Doves in Portuguese), has reopened for the season.
Each December, the Hillcrest Avenue property of Dave “Deacon Dave” Rezendes transforms into a magical village illuminated by more than 800,000 lights. As visitors take in the twinkling lights of every color, they can also enjoy the peaceful cooing of nearby doves, who have won over 380 awards at county fairs. They can also walk across the Proposal Bridge, where more than 72 marriage proposals have taken place over 38 years.
This year, the beloved local attraction is being shared all across the country. Deacon Dave's is being featured as a contender on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight," a reality miniseries in which family light displays compete for a $50,000 prize. Tune in Thursday to see if this is truly the best holiday lights display in the country. Patch reached out to Deacon Dave's to learn more about their experience on the show.
