Firefighters Extinguish Chimney Fire

Firefighters on Thursday morning extinguished a small chimney fire, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Chris Johnson said.

At around 9:50 a.m. emergency crews were sent to the 700 block of Via Del Sol, near Concannon Boulevard, for a report of a possible structure fire.

The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes of the call and was contained to the chimney area, Johnson said.

There were no injuries from the small blaze as the occupants of the home were outside when firefighters arrived.
