According to the official Powerball website, players must match all five white balls (in no order) and the red Powerball in order to claim it all. The winning numbers will be pulled Wednesday, January 13 at 10:59 p.m. EST. If you’re thinking of playing, tickets sales cut off 59 minutes before the drawing.

We asked our readers on Facebook how they would give back if they struck gold. Here’s what they said:

  • “I would donate to social services. I would make sure people had food, shelter, medical and mental health services, child care, elderly care, and let’s not forget all those animals at the shelter!” - Alameda
  • “Make some humongous charitable donations then take a trip around the world with my favorite people.” - Sonoma Valley
  • “Start an animal sanctuary” - Union City
  • “Donate money to the schools, and pay our police officers a decent salary.” - Martinez
  • “Give it all away to the poor. Only bad will come from all that immediate wealth.” - Petulama
  • “Not sure, but wouldn’t mind finding out.” - Petaluma
