LIVERMORE, CA — An injured dirt bike rider was airlifted Saturday at Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

The patient was treated on scene and airlifted by helicopter to a local trauma center for further care, according to ACFD. Carnegie Park is located in an unincorporated area about 15 miles southeast of Livermore, near the border with San Joaquin County. It comprises 5,075 acres of hilly terrain for off-road vehicles, and is one of eight vehicular recreation areas in California.
