Lawrence Livermore National Lab Scientist Wins Award
Tammy Ma has earned $2,000 and a certificate in honor of her achievement.
LIVERMORE, CA — A Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory physicist won the American Physical Society's 2016 award for outstanding early career contributions in plasma physics, lab officials announced Thursday.
Tammy Ma won the 2016 Thomas H. Stix Award for Outstanding Early Career Contributions to Plasma Physics Research. The award honors one person who has made outstanding theoretical, experimental, computational or technical contribution to plasma physics.
Ma will receive $2,000 and a certificate at the 58th annual meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics in San Jose from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4.
