Livermore Community Invited To Help Plant Trees

Volunteers are needed to help plant 65 trees in Marlin Pound Park.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore residents can help enhance a local urban forest by volunteering to plant trees at Marlin Pound Park Saturday, March 12.

The trees were given to the city as part of the AMPlify the Urban Forests grant from Cal Fire. 65 trees will be planted in the park.

Volunteers can help out starting at 8 a.m. and are encouraged to bring their own shovel. Holes for the trees were already pre-dug bay the city's public works department.

Everyone who registers will be entered to win a GT Urban Ash Taylor Guitar valued at $1,499. The winner will be announced after the planting.
