LIVERMORE, CA — At their Monday meeting, the Livermore City Council will review a proposal to convert 27 acres of underused business park land into a multifamily residential development near the planned Valley Link Station. The site currently has three mostly vacant office buildings, which city staff say are outdated and unlikely to attract new tenants.

The proposed Development Agreement would vest rights to develop approximately 50 housing units in different building types, including townhomes, condos, and duplexes.

As part of the agreement, the developer would contribute a total of $4.2 million in funding to Livermore’s Social Opportunity Endowment and Community Benefit Funds, and construct off-site bike lane improvements along North Canyons Parkway.

The Planning Commission unanimously approved the proposal in April. Staff are recommending the council approve the Specific Plan Amendment, adopt the CEQA findings, and introduce the development agreement ordinance.
