Livermore Students Present: 'The Wizard of Oz'

Students from Arroyo Seco Elementary will perform this weekend.

There's nothing like the Yellow Brick Road and this weekend, Livermore residents are in for a treat.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, in the Livermore High School theater at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30pm,  the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 50 Arroyo Seco Elementary students put on an original musical adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz."

This will be the third year that the children's theatre is in Livermore at Arroyo Seco and its first time presenting The Wizard of Oz, with the help of the Arroyo Seco PTA, says Kristi Carter. Tickets are $5 each and help pay the fees to have the theatre company at the school for a week.

"It's a self-funded program," Carter says.

The theatre also help an assembly for the students at Arroyo Seco Elementary Wednesday about improvisation.
