Livermore Double Homicide Victims Identified: Coroner

The coroner's bureau released the names of the two victims of a double homicide inside a Livermore hotel.

LIVERMORE, CA — The coroner’s office identified the two victims of a fatal shooting at the La Quinta Inn in Livermore on April 28.

The victims were identified as Lizabeth Murillo-Rodriguez, 26, of Oakland, and Christopher Vera, 21, of Oakland, the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau confirmed to Patch.

Livermore police said that suspect Yonton Vazquez knew one of the victims, but did not reveal which one. It is unknown if the victims knew each other.

Murillo-Rodriguez and Vera were found shot Saturday, April 28 at 6:45 a.m. inside the La Quinta Inn on Southfront Road, according to the Livermore Police Department. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. The homicides are Livermore's first and second of the year, police said.

Police are still searching for suspect Yonston Vazquez, 30, of Oakland. Anyone with information is urged to call LPD’s anonymous tip line at 925-371-4790.
