Livermore To Host Tri-Valley Juneteenth Celebration

The fifth annual Tri-Valley Juneteenth celebration at Bankhead Plaza will feature numerous performers and vendors.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore is hosting the fifth annual Tri-Valley Juneteenth Festival. On Saturday, June 21, dancers, singers, poets, and bands will join Black-owned businesses and community organizations to commemorate the holiday.

The festival will begin at 10 a.m. at Bankhead Plaza with Jordyn Diew's performance of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," often described as the unofficial "Black National Anthem."

The festival will feature four hours of performances, which will be emceed by Bay Area radio host and writer Faith Alpher.

The performance lineup for the day is as follows:

  • 10:00am DJ and intro
  • 10:15am “Lift Every Voice” by Jordyn Diew (singing)
  • 10:20am Cheza Nami (African dance)
  • 11:00am Jordyn Diew (singing)
  • 11:25am Alie Jones (poetry)
  • 11:40am Malik & Jess (youth dance duo)
  • 11:50am Shakespear in Harlem (reading)
  • 12:15pm Jamey Williams (rap and spoken word poetry)
  • 12:35pm Moving Van Band (band)
  • 1:05pm Faith Alpher (poetry)
  • 1:20pm JusyB (singing)
  • 1:35pm Zion Christian Church Brass Band (band)
  • 1:50pm Closing (dance)
