Livermore Man Accused Of Setting At Least 3 Fires

LIVERMORE, CA — A 34-year-old Livermore man is accused of setting multiple small vegetation fires along the Las Positas Corridor and near the Super 8 Motel, according to the Livermore Police Department.

During one of the fires that burned throughout June, officers contacted a man later identified as Gilmar Portilla-Amaya of Livermore. Following a thorough investigation, detectives connected the suspect to two additional fires.

Portilla-Amaya now faces three counts of arson.
