Livermore Police Remind Residents of Neighborhood Vacation Watch Program

The program is staffed solely by volunteers.

LIVERMORE, CA — Police are reminding the Livermore community of the Vacation Watch Program during the summer and vacation months.

According to police, those that are going out of town for more than seven days but less than 30 days can apply to have trained volunteers check on the front exterior of their homes in their absence.
Police said volunteers will report anything that looks suspicious or out of the ordinary, and officers will be dispatched if necessary.

The program is staffed solely by volunteers who will not check back or side yards, nor will they pick up mail or newspapers.
