Livermore Valley Rotary Club Hosting First Community BBQ In Downtown Livermore
The barbecue will feature food, drinks, music, kids' entertainment, a car show, pet adoption, and more to raise funds for local charities.
LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Valley Rotary Club is hosting its first annual Community BBQ Bash & Fundraiser on Saturday Oct. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Carnegie Park.
The fundraiser aims to raise $20,000 to give back to the community. The Rotary Club will donate 100% of proceeds to Livermore nonprofits supporting youth, seniors, food security, domestic violence survivors, and cultural and wellness programs. All donations made through the Community Health Education Foundation website will be matched by 50 percent.
The family-friendly celebration will feature barbecued food, drinks, and desserts available for purchase; live music from the local band Stage Coach, and a number of exciting activities, including:

- Magic shows
- Pet adoption with local rescue organizations
- Face painting
- Interactive Quest Science booth
- Meet-and-greet with Livermore firefighters and police officers
- The Heritage Guild History Van
- Informational booths from local nonprofits
- Altamont Cruisers Car show
- A balloon artist
The event is free, and families are invited to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair.
“This event will be a wonderful way for friends and families to gather to celebrate the fall in Livermore,” said Livermore Valley Rotary Club President Sarah Palmer. “The proceeds raised from donations and sponsors will go to the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore to help with scholarships and major projects. There is something for everyone here! Come do good and have fun!”

“This first-of-its-kind family event hosted by the Livermore Valley Rotary Club is all about bringing our community together — enjoying a fun afternoon while raising funds to reinvest right back into the place we call home,” said event chair Mony Nop.
