Livermore to Ring in Holiday Season

Downtown Livermore's Annual Home for the Holidays Celebration set for Saturday.

Here's an announcement from Livermore Downtown:

Kick off the Holiday Season with Downtown Livermore's Annual Home for the Holidays Celebration, scheduled 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Enjoy snow at Lizzie Fountain, brought to you by Marcel Orthodontics, horse drawn carriage rides throughout downtown and a holiday performance stage at the Flagpole Plaza featuring local performing arts groups! Special deals and shopping specials will be available at downtown retail locations.

The day continues with the 16th annual Livermore Holiday Sights & Sounds Parade and Tree Lighting event starting at 6 p.m. Parade will feature local marching bands, music, light displays, and of course SANTA CLAUS!!! The lighting of "Bruce Sprucetree" will follow the parade at the corner of First Street and S. Livermore Avenue.

This year, Livermore Downtown Inc. will be honoring Linda Barton as Grand Marshall! . She was instrumental in downtown revitalization and establishing Livermore as a preferred destination for tourism, business investment and raising a family is a phenomenal community!

Main Stage at Flag Pole Plaza:

Jeff Williams, Livermore City Councilmember and City Council Liaison to the Livermore Downtown Inc. Board of Directors along with Anna Kagarakis, host of Slice of Life Tri Valley on Tri-Valley Community TV

Mid Stage on First Street between J and K Street: Chief Of Police Steve Sweeney and Bryan Fagundes of BTProductions and DJ with KAT Country.

L Street Stage: City Manager; City Of Livermore Marc Roberts and KKIQ's Faith Alpher

M Street Stage: Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Superintendent, Kelly Bowers and Anthony McPeake of Anthony McPeake Insurance and Past President of Livermore Downtown Inc.

Parking & Handicapped parking are available at the FREE Livermore Valley Center Parking Garage, 2350 Railroad Avenue.

Parade will start at 6 p.m. and usually lasts approximately an hour. Parade route is First Street from M Street to McLeod St.
