Naked Man Disrupts Traffic on Stanley Boulevard

Police take in man who undressed himself along Stanley Boulevard median.

A man was detained by police for a mental health evaluation after he undressed himself on Stanley Boulevard, near Murdell Lane, Officer Steve Goard said.

At around 2:55 p.m. Friday police received multiple calls of a naked man walking up and down a median on Stanley Boulevard, Goard said.

"When we arrived on scene he had just taken off all his clothes and was completely naked," Goard said. "There was no danger to the community and he was taken for a mental health evaluation."

A Livermore Patch reader describes the scene in an e-mail:

There was a man in only jeans, no shirt no shoes waving his arms and speaking jibberish. We were stuck at the light and he was coming towards our car. Now Stanley is blocked off and there are ambulances and cop cars.
