New Staff Join Livermore Area Recreation and Park District

From Livermore Area Recreation and Park District: The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is pleased to welcome two new faces to its staff at the Robert Livermore Community Center.Jeff Schneider joined LARPD on Jan. 9 as the District's new Finance Manager, and Alexandra Ikeda started with the District on Jan. 17 as the new Marketing & Operation Supervisor.

Schneider comes to LARPD after work in the private sector, where he most recently headed up his own financial consulting firm. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from California State University, East Bay, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Schneider has more than 30 years of experience in finance in the retail and high-tech industries with firms such as Mervyn's, DHL Airways, Genentech, Condeco, Corio, Saba, WebEx and Cisco. He has experience in all facets of finance in a wide variety of settings. A San Carlos resident, Schneider is on the Board of the Hillbarn Theatre in Foster City and serves as treasurer.Ikeda comes to LARPD from the City of Hercules, where she worked for 12 years.

She has served as Recreation Coordinator and Recreation Supervisor, overseeing a number of areas in the parks and recreation department including marketing, website and social media management, brochure production, facility scheduling and maintenance and a variety of recreation programs. Ikeda holds a bachelor's degree in recreation and leisure management from CSU East Bay. A Hercules resident, she enjoys running and outdoor recreation activities.
