New Year's Eve Fire Guts Garage & Car At Tri-Valley Home
Four people escaped, and firefighters extinguished the blaze before it spread inside the residence, officials said.
PLEASANTON, CA — Four people safely evacuated a Pleasanton home New Year's Eve, after a fire broke out in the residence's attached garage and spread to a vehicle parked in the driveway, according to officials.
Firefighters were called Sunday at 1:17 p.m. to the fire on the 400 block of Junipero Street, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department said.
Crews, which included the Alameda County Fire Department, knocked down the blaze — described as "heavy" — in about 20 minutes, managing to keep the fire from spreading to the single-story home's interior, officials said.
