LIVERMORE, CA — An injured deer was rescued after it became trapped between a fence and brick wall.
The fence sat directly up against the wall and the deer was in such close quarters that the fence appeared to cut into her flesh, a Livermore Police Department video shows. The injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers had to sedate the deer before cutting and loosening the fence to free her. They carefully pulled the deer out from under the fence, placed her on a tarp and carried her up the hill, where officers waited with the deer until she woke up and found her way back home.
