Out of Order: Traffic Signal at Vasco Road and East Avenue

Motorists take note. We received the following announcement from city officials:

The traffic signal at the Vasco Rd/East Ave intersection will remain non-operational at least until tomorrow (11/29/11) afternoon. Per California Vehicle Code, motorists shall treat this intersection as an All-Way STOP. To supplement the vehicle code, temporary STOP signs are also in place.  A “short” with the wiring appears to be causing the problem requiring conductors to be removed and replaced.
