Plans Underway For Livermore's National Night Out
The annual event promoting police and community partnerships will take place nationwide Tuesday, Aug. 1.
LIVERMORE, CA — As summer continues to heat up, plans for Livermore's National Night Out are already under way with individual neighborhoods planning everything from barbeques and potlucks to block parties, and residents wishing to have a representative from the Livermore Police Department visit their party will need to register with the city before July 21, Livermore PD said in a Tweet to the community.

National Night Out, when residents from around the city, along with thousands of others across the country, will turn on their outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police, is celebrated by millions of people annually.
The event promoting police and community partnerships, will take place in Livermore and across the nation on Tuesday Aug. 1.

"The goal is to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit, and foster police-community partnerships," Livermore PD said.
