Police Investigating AM/PM Robbery

Man brandished gun at store clerk and makes off with undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The on East Stanley Boulevard was robbed late Monday, Officer Steven Goard said.

At 11:53 p.m., a clerk at the gas station, near Murrieta Boulevard, called police to report a robbery.

The victim told police a white man entered the store and brandished a black handgun and demanded money.

The clerk complied and gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, Goard said.

The robber was wearing a black hoodie and a bandana-type mask covering his mouth and nose during the incident, Goard said. He was last seen running northbound on Murrieta Boulevard.

Police have no further description of the suspect and are working to gain surveillance footage from the store to help in the investigation.

There were no injuries reported and no customers were inside the store during the robbery, Goard said.

Police said the market has been robbed several times over the years.
