Police Presence At Livermore High Amid Investigation

Police are investigating a matter involving a minor after receiving a tip from the school district.

LIVERMORE, CA — An increased police presence was on campus Thursday at Livermore High School amid an unspecified investigation.

The Livermore Police Department received information from the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Wednesday that prompted officers to open an investigation into a matter involving a minor, said Officer Art Rosas, a police spokesperson.

He declined to comment on whether a student was taken into custody or whether the campus faces an active threat pending the ongoing investigation, and deferred further comment to the school district
