Road Rage Killing: Holbrook's Arraignment Pushed Back — Again

A is now scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Jan. 20, according to court records.

Cort Holbrook, , and has remained in custody since March at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in lieu of a $3 million bail.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. His pending arraignment has been delayed several times by his attorney to buy more time to work the case.

Once Holbrook is arraigned, the judge will also set a date for his jury trial.

Holbrook and were involved in a . The fight led to Holbrook stabbing Ziesmer with a dagger, with Ziesmer later passing away at a hospital.

Holbrook, a software engineer, is married and a father of two. His attorney has said the slaying was done in self defense.

He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:15 a.m. in Department 513 of the Hayward Hall of Justice.
