Plane Crash At Livermore Airport Under Investigation: FAA
BREAKING: The pilot was practicing touch-and-gos at the airport at the time of the crash.
LIVERMORE, CA — A small World War II-era plane ran off the runway and veered into a perimeter fence at the Livermore Municipal Airport this afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The incident occurred at about 3:35 p.m. at the airport at 680 Terminal Circle.
The pilot was practicing touch-and-gos at the airport, a practice where the pilot lands and then takes off again without stopping. The two people on board the single-engine plane were not injured.
No other information is available at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
