MATECA, CA — Sheriff's deputies in San Joaquin County picked up a man last week suspected of felony child abuse, the office said on social media.

On Wednesday, deputies tried to make contact with Michael Moore, 60, at his residence on Two Rivers Road in Manteca.

According to authorities, Moore refused to exit his residence, prompting the need for the Sheriff's Office crisis negotiations team. That also didn't work, so a SWAT team was brought in.
